Lucinda married William Foushee* LINDLEY, son of William Wesley* LINDLEY and Frances* FOUSHEE, on 27 Jun 1877 in Mebanesville Twp, Alamance Co, NC.4262 (William Foushee* LINDLEY was born on 26 May 1856 in Chatham Co, NC,2426 died on 7 May 1940 in Newlin Twp, Alamance Co, NC 2426 and was buried on 8 May 1940 in Saxapahaw, Alamance Co, NC 2426.)

Noted events in their marriage were:

• Marriage, 27 Jun 1877, Mebanesville Twp, Alamance Co, NC. 4262 William F. Lindley, age 21, born 1856, son of William W. Lindley and Frances B. Lindley, married Jannett Teague, age 22, born 1855, daughter of Isaiah Teague and Nancy Teague.

• Story. 98,5196 William and Jeanette did not follow correct procedures in Quaker church to announce their intentions to marry, and so they were expelled from the church. While this happened quite often, and most couples were accepted back when they apologized, William and Jeanette never went back. [I believe it is possible that William left the Quaker church because he wished to marry Jeanette, who was not a Quaker, rather than because they did not follow Quaker procedures in announcing their intentions to marry.]
