Story. From an interview of Jerry Levin by Les in July 2006: Jerry's father was Henry Levinsky, born probably in the 1890s, died about 1923. He lived in Queens, NY. He drowned from a ferry boat between Manhattan and Staten Island; the body was never recovered. Nobody knows for sure if he slipped, was pushed, or jumped. Henry and a brother were in the vending machine business. Henry and his wife were going to get out of the business and open a dry cleaning business in Poughkeepsie, but it did not happen before he died. This relocation also caused Henry to want to change his name from Levinsky to Levin, but it did not happen before he died. Henry's father was an immigrant from Russia. Jerry does not know Henry's father's name, nor Henry's mother's name.
