1850 Census does not show Alva Curtis Kinsey, but it shows his father Clark Kinsey living with Sarah and other children, including "Howard". Note that 5-yr old Howard also appears with Seth Kinsey nearby, but Alva Curtis, who would be 4 years old, does not appear at all. I suspect that one of the "Howard"s is really Alva Curtis.

Alt. Birth, Cir 1856, Maryland, United States. 54 Incorrect birth year in 1930 Census, as Alva also appears in 1850 Census.

Appearance in Document, 1927, Baltimore, Maryland, United States. 60 Wife Margaret L. Kinsey appears in 1927 Baltimore City Directory, listed as "wid Albert". There is no listing for Alva Kinsey. Several of their children are at the same address as Margaret, which helps to confirm that she is the correct person. So, is Alva deceased by 1927? He appears in the 1930 Census, although Margaret does not and Alva is listed as a widow. So most likely it is Alva who is deceased in 1926, and Margaret who should appear in the 1930 Census.

I believe the head of household is really Margaret, and Alva is deceased], age 27 when first married, born MD, parents born MD, no occupation
