Walter Clarence Woodhead submitted an application for membership in the District of Columbia Society of the National Society Sons of the American Revolution. He applied as a descendant of Isaac Jones Sr in 1951, and was accepted. Walter specifies his ancestry as: son of Clarence Woodhead and Miriam Walter, Miriam was daughter of Harry Alexander Walter and Mary Cecil Jones (9-23-1861 to 3-31-1933). Mary was daughter of Bradford Amos Jones (3-7-1823 to 9-26-1855 [typo in application, should be 1885]) and Elizabeth Lucinda Bennington (10-13-1828 to 6-18-1872), married 10-13-1845. Bradford was son of Isaac Jones Jr (b 5-18-1783, no death date given) and Keziah Jones (no dates). Isaac was son of Isaac Jones Sr (1755-1842) and Mary Canada. He applied as a descendant of Isaac Jones Sr in 1691, and was accepted. Harry specifies his ancestry as: son of Harry Alexander Walter (21 Oct 1861 - 17 Sep 1928) and Mary Cecil Jones (23 Sep 1861 - 27 Mar 1934), married 1891. Mary was daughter of Bradford Amos Jones (17 Mar 1823 to 26 Sep 1885) and Lucinda Bennington (13 Oct 1828 to 18 Jun 1872), married 13 Oct 1845. Bradford was son of Isaac Jones Jr (b 8 May 1792, no death date given) and Kezziah Jones (no dates). Isaac was son of Isaac Jones Sr (1755-1842) and Mary Canada (d 1824).
