27. Religion. 1421 William McPherson was not a member of the Society of Friends.

28. Story. 1422 Came to NC from PA, first to Fayetteville, then Cross Creek, and to South Orange Co. about 1764. Name was spelled McFerson in first land grant. Lived in Webb Lindley section.[I think this is doubtful]

29. Story. 1423 William and Phebe moved to Orange (now Chatham Co) NC about 1755 and he died about 1817.
