From S.R. 1835 (Rockhill Road), north 0.6 miles on S.R. 1864, north about 200 yards on service road, east about 100 yards through underbrush to tall pine trees. Fenced. Tombstone says Samson Frederick Breece, son of Joseph and Ida E. Breece 8 June 1853 - 1 Apr 1895. ![]() Noted events in his life were: 1. Breece, Will book C 390-394, mentions "land on the east side of the Cape Fear River known as Eccles place joining the land of George Lawrence and others, in trust for grandson Frederick son of Joseph and Elizabeth Breece". S F Breece is 27, farmer, with wife Mary E (27, keeping house), son Joseph D (2), daughter "Infant" [this would be Mary Bell] (6 months, born Dec), and brother George (21). (Cumberland Co, Flea Hill Twp, ED 58, sheet 15, line 32) 3. Occupation: Farmer. 4. Appearance in Document: Petition for Partition, Cir 5 Jul 1926, Cumberland County, North Carolina, United States. 2273 Petition for Partition by heirs of John S. and Sarah C. Breece. Says John S. Breece died in Cumberland County, leaving a will that left all his property to his sister Sarah C. Breece, and she then died without a will. B. Rosa McLean was administrix of both estates, and filed a final account that was approved on July 5 1926. The petition lists all the heirs, including the children of Fred Breece, who are Joseph D. Breece, Rodney R. Breece, and Mary Breece Downing. Mary is deceased, so her share is divided among her heirs, who are D. L.
