Noted events in their marriage were:
1. Marriage, 27 Jun 1877, Mebanesville Twp, Alamance County, North Carolina, United States. 3354 William F. Lindley, age 21, born 1856, son of William W. Lindley and Frances B. Lindley, married Jannett Teague, age 22, born 1855, daughter of Isaiah Teague and Nancy Teague.
2. Story. 816,3924 William and Jeanette did not follow correct procedures in Quaker church to announce their intentions to marry, and so they were expelled from the church. While this happened quite often, and most couples were accepted back when they apologized, William and Jeanette never went back. [I believe it is possible that William left the Quaker church because he wished to marry Jeanette, who was not a Quaker, rather than because they did not follow Quaker procedures in announcing their intentions to marry.]
