1. Story. 7463 Thomas Edward Campbell's father came from a large family. He was rejected by parents and siblings, but don't know why. Marriage of these two may be reason for rejection by rest of family, if Campbell (likely Protestant) married Polish (likely Catholic). He was a lumberman, and traveled from farm to farm cutting and hauling wood to lumber mills. They did not stay in one home very long, although Omar, WV was the only town anyone remembers.
2. Story. 7463 Ed Campbell told two stories about his father's death. In one, he was ill, and Ed went to get a doctor. When he returned, he had already died. His mother became ill soon after and died. In the other story, his father was hung for horse-stealing. Ed said he was around 14 when his parents passed away. Perhaps this was during the 1918 influenza epidemic.
