1. Military Service, 6 Mar 1862. 9 John A Fogleman [maybe this one] is Private in Co G, 26th Regiment NC Troops. He enlisted in Chatham Co at age 22 on 6 Mar 1862. He was wounded in the left hand at Gettysburg, PA, on 1 July 1863. He was captured at Bristoe Station, VA, on 14 October 1863. He was confined at Old Capitol Prison in Washington DC. He was transferred to Point Lookout, MD, on 27 Oct 1863. He was parolled at Point Lookout about 1 Nov 1864. He was transferred to Venus Point, Savannah River, GA, and received there on 15 Nov 1864 for exchange. He was reported absent without leave on 20 Dec 1864. The same unit included Young Riley Fogleman, 2nd Lt Samuel E Teague, Wm Madison Teague, and Willis Teague.
