The will of Theophilus Tatom (transcription posted at the Bladen Co Rootsweb site) leaves his youngest son Lennon 100 acres on south west side of Turnbull Creek below the mouth of Panther Branch, and two tracts on north east side of Turnbull Creek, "the land I bought of Jim Smith." Proved May 1863.
