2. Property, 5 Aug 1802, Alexander County, North Carolina, United States. 824 Edward Teague Jr sold to Moses Teague Jr "in consideration of love and affection" a 100 acre tract of land lying on the Middle Little River, part of a tract he had been granted in July 1794 (Alexander Co records, Book A, p362). A supposition is that Moses was a son of Edward, and he is referred to as Jr because Edward Sr's brother lived close by and he had a son Moses who was older than this Moses.

5. Story. 63 Moses Teague, son of Edward Jr and Sarah, b ca 1777. He married Katy Payne, daughter of Robert Payne. Moses Teague built his home on what seems to have been part of his father's farm. Was this the 100 acres of the 1802 deed? Moses fought in the Battle of New Orleans in the War of 1812.

Moses married Katy PAYNE. (Katy PAYNE was born in 1780 and died in 1840.)
