1. Story. Aquilla Teague b 20 June 1814 and d 26 May 1853. He was the son of Joab (or Jacob) Teague and Margaret _____, and the grandson of Abraham Teague and Hannah Brazier. He married Tabitha Ann Tush. Aquilla's siblings were Hannah, Tabitha, Martha, Margaret, Nancy J., Sarah, Elizabeth, and Mary. (posted at Genweb Teague site)

2. Story. 4009 Joab (or Jacob) Teague, son of Abraham and Hannah, b 1768, married Margaret. Their children were Hannah (b 1794, m unknown Charly), Tabitha (b 1796, m John Charly on 29 Mar 1831 in Washington Co IN), Martha (b 1798, m Simon Caress in Washington Co IN), Margaret (b 1800, m Samuel Tush in Washington Co IN), Nancy J (b 2 Feb 1806, d 8 Jun 1853, bur Old Hebron Cem in Washington Co IN, m Benjamin Souder in Washington Co IN), Sarah (b 1808, m Nathon Charly in Washington Co IN), Elizabeth, Mary, and Aquilla (b 20 Jun 1814, d 26 May 1853, bur Old Hebron Cem, m Tabitha Ann Tush).

3. Story, 1811. Joab Teague is not mentioned in the division of the estate of his father Abraham in 1811. Maybe he had already left NC for Indiana, or maybe he is the same person as Jacob Teague, who is mentioned.

4. Will, 7 Nov 1837, Washington County, Indiana, United States. 4010 Will of Joab Teague, grandson of Moses Teague Sr, Washington Co IN Will Book C p 119-120, dated 7 Nov 1837, proved 15 May 1839. "... unto my beloved wife Margaret Teage, the tract of land on which I now live, to have the use of said land as long as she lives. ... to my son Aquilla Teage the above named land ... on condition that he shall suffer my daughters Elizabeth and Mary Teage to live with him, so long as they desire to do so while single. .... to my daughters Hannah Charly, Tabitha Charly, Martha Caress, Margaret Tush, Nancy Souder, Sarah Charly, Elizabeth Teage and Mary Teage, the sum of fifty cents which shall be paid within three months after my decease. ... all my possessions not above named to my above named son Aquilla and my daughters Elizabeth and Mary Teague. [names son Aquilla and John Havely executors]."
