1. Property, 7 Feb 1801, Montgomery County, North Carolina, United States. Robert Green received grant for 600 acres in Montgomery Co on the NE side of Peedee River on the waters of Cheeks Creek and Thickety Creek. Borders William Rush, Henry Poole, Jim Edward Singleton, others. Surveyed 1802. Witnessed by Wm Green and Jones Green. (transcript of grant posted at USGenWeb Archive site)

2. Residence, 1801, Montgomery County, North Carolina, United States. A historical Montgomery County map shows entry for "1801 Robert Green" south of Thickety Creek.

3. Census, 1830, Montgomery County, North Carolina, United States. Robert Green (60-70) is living with one M<5 [Hartwell], two M 5-10 [unknown], one M 15-20 [James or Christopher], one F<5 [Mary], one F 10-15 [unknown], and one F 40-50 [wife Mary] (Montgomery Co, p46)

4. Census, 1840, Montgomery County, North Carolina, United States. Robert Green Sr (70-80) is living with one M 10-15 [Hartwell], two M 20-30 [James, Christopher], two F 10-15 [Martha, Mary], one F 15-20 [unknown], and one F 50-60 [wife Mary] (Montgomery Co, p231).

5. Will, 5 May 1843, Montgomery County, North Carolina, United States. The will of Robert Green, written in Montgomery Co, identifies his four oldest daughters as Betsy Harris, Oliff Green, Fady McLeod and Nancy Shamwell. It identifies his wife as Polly Green, and wills her two negro servants Abram and Hannah and lands in his name and the Townsend fork tracts. It identifies his son James F Green, who receives half of the Townsend fork tract where James currently lives and a negro Sam. The other half goes to Robert's son Christopher C Green. The tract that Robert currently lives on and the Thickety tract goes to Robert's son Hartwell A J Green subject to the provisions for Polly. Robert divides his negroes equally among Rebecca Munroe, James F Green, Christopher C Green, Sally DeBerry, Charity Pool, Nicey Harris, Mary Green, Hartwell A J Green, and Martha Green. Rebecca Munroe also explicitly receives a negro Mary. The will specifies that the remaining property be sold and the proceeds divided among the "last named nine youngest children". James F Green is named as the executor. The will was probated at the July 1848 session of Montgomery County Court. 6. Property, 22 Jan 1845, Montgomery County, North Carolina, United States. John Green sold 355 acres to Robert Green [maybe this one] for $350. Land in Montgomery Co on West Dry Creek , bordering Henry Singleton and Edward McCallum. Witnessed by John Green Jr. (Montgomery Co Deed book 16, p68)
