1. Census, 1820, Chesterfield District, South Carolina, United States. William Reader household includes 3 females under 10 [Jemima, Massea, Sarah]. (SC, Chesterfield Co, p127)

2. Appearance in Document, 19 Sep 1829, Lancaster District, South Carolina, United States. Bill for Injunction and Relief - Counterpart. Confirmed by Henry W. DeSaussure, 7 July 1832. Zacariah Reynolds and others vs Burrell Brewer and John Scarborough. Whereas it has been agreed by and between the complainants and defendants in this case and Edmond W. Gregg, who has married the complainant Jemima Reader that the Injunction should be dissolved, and that the Mine should be worked jointly by the complainants and defendants, and that the profits shall be divided into three parts, and that the Complainants shall receive one third part of the said profits and the Defendant John Scarborough, the Complainants shall receive one half of the said profits, and the receive the other two third parts thereof, and that on the death of the Defendant John Scarorough, the Complainants shall receive one half of the said profits, and the Defendants the other half thereof. We the said Complainants consent on these terms that the Injunction shall be dissolved for the present and that with the approbate of the Court of Equity this suit shall be compromised on the terms above recited. Signed by Zacah (X) Runnols, Lizer (X) Runnolds, Edmond W. Gregg, Jemima (X) Gregg, Sarah (X) Reader, Massea (X) Reader, Benjamin (X) Reader, Jormen (X) Reader, Burrell Brewer, and John Scarborough, with Moses Knight as witness.
