Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday (today) at Miller-Boles Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Buffalo Cemetery, with the Rev. Del Parkerson officiating.
Born Jan. 24, 1919, in Chatham County to the late N.C. and Feleta Brewer Beal. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army, and was a charter member of the Stanley McLeod VFW Post and the American Legion.
He was a partner with N.C. Beal & Sons, Inc. of Sanford.
His brother, Edison Beal, preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Mavis Modline Beal; his sons, Carl Beal and his wife Laraine of Sanford and Johnny Beal of Raleigh; a daughter, Jean B. Thomas and her husband Wiley of Sanford; a brother, Hester C. Beal of Sanford; five grandchildren, Jeff Beal, Greg Beal, Adam Beal, Mark Thomas, Duane Jackson and David Beal. Six great-grandchildren also survive him.
Miller-Boles Funeral Home of Sanford is handling arrangements for the family.

7. Residence. 3235 Cone Beal (of Sanford) owned the old Beal Farm site.
