31. Occupation: Salesman and Store Owner. Owned store in Bonlee. Was traveling salesman before that. Store had counter and stools were people could eat what they bought. General store, mostly groceries.

32. Religion: Quaker, Baptist: Bonlee, Chatham County, North Carolina, United States. When family settled in Bonlee, there was not a Quaker meeting nearby, and John wanted children to get Bible training, so he sent them to the local Baptist church. As they grew, they continued to attend the Baptist church, so the family became Baptist instead of Quaker. (knowledge of Odell Councilman)
