Samll Scarlett, Alice Scarlett, and Phebe Scarlett three of ye children of Shadrack Scarlett late of London Grove deceased prays to be admitted to Chuse their Guardians wch is allowed of and they nominate and make choice of Matthew Scarlett and John Allen to be their Guardians who are thereupon admitted and the Court nominates and appoints Michal Lightfoot and Nathanl Jonson to be Guardians for ye two youngest children Shadrach and Ann who are admitted and confirmed.

8. Story, 1762. 298 Phebe Allen, with her five living children, moved to North Carolina to live. We cannot be sure of the date or place they moved to, but it is probable that they came to the land grant in the Snow Camp area of Old Orange County that John Allen had put in for before his death.

9. Residence: Randolph County, North Carolina, United States. 298 Isaac and Phebe Cox lived near Mill Creek and Deep River in Randolph County, NC, where Isaac owned 240 acres.

Will, 10 May 1814, Randolph County, North Carolina, United States. 304 Be it remembered that I, Phebe Cox of Randolph County and State of North Carolina, widow, being far advanced in years and having under my consideration the uncertainty of human life, do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say: I order that my body be decently buried and that my just debts and funeral charges be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease and as to my worldly estate which the Lord in mercy hath been pleased to bestow upon me, I give and dispose of the same in manner and form following: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Hannah Barker the sum of fifty dollars. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Amy Husband's children the sum of five dollars f they come to demand it of my executors to be divided among them, share and part alike. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ann Comer the sum of ten dollars. I give and bequeath unto my two grand daughters, Phebe Cox and Rebekcah Comer the sum of forty dollars to be divided between them, share and part alike. I give unto my son John Allen the sum of fifty dollars. I give unto my son Samuel Allen the sum of one hundred dollars. I give unto my daughter Phebe Cox the sum of seventy five dollars. And lastly, it is my mind and will that ____ remain after all my just debts and ____ charged that such remainder shall be devided among my five children, viz, Hannah Barker, Ann Comer, John Allen, Samuel Allen, and Phebe Cox, share and part alike, and I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my two sons John Allen and Samuel Allen, my executors of this my last will and testament, in witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this tenth day of the fifth month, one thousand eight hundred and fourteen 1814.
