Last week all that was mortal of this young man was returned to his father and friends, in a coffin, for burial. His death was very sudden --- heart disease. He was a young man of promise and died lamented. ("The Home", a Pittsboro weekly newspaper, Vol V, No 2, 22 Dec 1887, extracted at Chatham Co Rootsweb site www.rootsweb.com/ncchatha/newspapr.htm)
