1. Census, 1840, Chatham County, North Carolina, United States. Ambrose Foshee is 40-50, living with 1 female 30-40, 2 males 15-20, 1 female 15-20, 2 females 10-15, 2 females 5-10, 2 females under 5 (Chatham Co, p158)

2. Story. Ambrose appointed guardian in 1838 for Margaret Bright, John and Abner Bright. Sources: Mann family assoc; Stewart pedigree chart; Mt Pleasant Methodist Ch Bynum NC; Census reports 1850, 1860; Brooks & kindred families pg 213; raleigh Register obituary. (posted at www.culpepper.net)

3. Story. 1539 He represented Mount Gilead Baptist Church at the meeting of the Sandy Creek Baptist Association in 1832. He later served as Constable. He and Rebecca both died between 1840 and 1850 (not found in 1850 Census, will of Thomas Farrar, 2 Sep 1851, states they are dead).
