5. Appearance in Document, 17 Nov 1825, Orange County, North Carolina, United States. 2117 The will of [father] John Allen mentions son Nathan (deceased, had been living on a 94 acre lot in Orange Co), Nathan's widow Martha, and Nathan's children Ruth, Job, and Miles.

6. Story. 2326 Nathan Allen died at the age of 33 years, leaving his widow and three children. His father was still living. In his will, Nathan left his 94 acres on which he lived to his three children. There must have been an understanding between Nathan and his father that the 94 acres was to be his, although his father did not die until 1826. His father John confirmed this in his will when he willed the land on which son Nathan settled (now deceased) to be equally divided among the three children (Ruth, Job, and Miles). Later, when Job and Ruth sold the land, they stated that they were the owners, and Miles was not mentioned. No other records have been found for Miles, so he probably died young.

7. Religion: Quaker.
