2. Residence, 2 Dec 1752, Cane Creek Mtg, Orange County, North Carolina Colony. 400 William and Ruth Marshill moved from New Garden Mtg, PA, to Cane Creek Mtg, NC. They left New Garden around 16 May 1749.

3. Residence, 1754, Cane Creek, Granville County, North Carolina Colony. 1088

Property, 12 Jan 1764, Cane Creek Mtg, Orange County, North Carolina Colony. 400 William Marshill and wife Rebecca deeded 26 acres of land, including the meeting house, to Peter Stout, Benjamin Piggott, William Piggott and David Vestell, as trustees, for the use of the meeting. [On Aug 1 1807, John Marshill, son of William and Rebecca, requests the meeting sell 10 acres back to him, and the request is granted, with the money from the sale going to repair the meeting house]

5. Story: Memorial Marker: Cane Creek Cemetery, Alamance County, North Carolina, United States. 1088 There is a marker at Cane Creek cemetary that says "William Marshill, born 1724, died 1803. Married 1746 to Rebecca Dixon, born 1732, died 1803, came to Cane Creek 1754. Gave 26 acres of land to Cane Creek meeting. They lived across the creek, west of the meeting house. Ancestors of the Marshall family of NC and of the west."

6. Story. 1089 William and Rebecca Dixon Marshall were honored in 1929 with a marker at Cane Creek FBG. Their marker records their gift of land for the meetinghouse.
